A song started a phenomena.

 The Michigan dogman is a creature that stems from a song in 1987 taking place in 1887. Steve Cook was a disc jokey who decided to play a little practical joke on locals near Traverse City MI. 

Playing this song lead to an outrush of calls from people who reported seeing the Dogman previously. People had reported seeing a large hunched man like dog in the roads. Cook remained skeptic until he rerecorded the song in 2007 to add the verse about the cabin break in in Luther MI. Supposedly the creature comes out every 10 years, with the 10th ending in 7 so the last major reports would be 2017 and 2007, lining up to the break in.

This myth has been floating around Michigan for years and years however I know someone who personally saw it with his wife. He was driving alone in the middle of the night down a main road. They saw him on the side, driving fast they passed him but got a good look at the creature, tall with dog like features hunched on the side of the road...

Michigan's Paulding Lights

 

The Dog Meadow Lights.

The Paulding lights have been reported in Michigan as far back as the 1960s with the first sighting being back in 66'. Teens reported the lights to the local sheriff, after that many other reports followed.

The myth has a dozen explanations, with most of them being related to ghosts. One story that caught on was that the lights were a grandparent looking for their grandchild in the dark.

Unlike most paranormal stories however this one has a very scientific explanation. Scientists went out to observe the lights. To summarize with the telescope they saw a sign that seem to reflect the light for miles when a car passed by on the highway, which lined up to people seeing it flicker and dim, as well as it being there at all times of night.

Short sweet one folks but still fun! 

The Striders

 Stilt walkers of Texas are an odd anomaly. They are incredibly tall creatures who are often described as shaggy with hair that droops off of its head. It's eyes are wide and glowing. Usually red or described as white. The glow can be seen from miles. 

Every so often they are described as having a mouth under their fur. More often than not the mouths are filled with razor sharp teeth that go on for miles. 

An odd notable thing about the creatures behavior is that it fluctuates. Some leave human to do as they do peacefully, others run and hide, and some hunt down humans who see them. Leading me to believe there is a larger colony of these creatures than what we believe. 

One man described the creature stalking him after his forest encounter. Seeming to hold a grudge against them for seeing it. 

Not attempts on the creatures life has been made however if you end up in its territory I highly recommend bringing protection on the chance that it can be harmed. 

The hide behind

The Hide behind of north America. Excerpt from a cryptozoologist and a victim. Pseudonyms for the victim are used 

"So Mrs. Afton asked me to come out to look into a bigfoot in her area. North America is known for the squatches especially up north, but this story was different. She had a run in where her dog disappeared on a walk. She described it as footsteps behind her but when she'd look; nothing was behind her. She didn't look at one point then boom. Her dog disappeared as if from thin air. This caused her to run and get home. Setting up my trail cams and going out I found something odd. I heard those footsteps she described. Loud thudding steps. On my trail cams though there was nothing, but I did find something. Two eyes behind a tree when I turned around."

The creature has no real description honestly but most agree its thin, it is able to apparently hide behind any tree near it or any structure and moves so fast it cannot be seen. Any updates I get will be catalogued in another post.
